I am a doctoral candidate in History at the University of California, Los Angeles, specializing in the history of medicine, United States History in transnational perspective, and the history of women and gender. My writings have appeared in peer-reviewed publications such as Great Plains Quarterly, and conferences I have presented at include the Berkshire Conference on the History of Women and Gender and the American Association of the History of Medicine. Among the honors and fellowships I have received are the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship (2010-2014), UCLA Dissertation Year Fellowship (2014-2015), and Elizabeth Blackwell M.D. Award from the Center for the Center for the Study of Women at UCLA.
